The Knight Frank Point to Pinnacle is a 21.1km run or walk from Hobart’s Iconic Wrest Point Casino to the Pinnacle of the city’s majestic Mount Wellington. The course includes 1270m of climbing and provides an achievable challenge for all levels of athletes from elite runners to recreational joggers and walkers.
The Point to Pinnacle encourages People to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle while providing a true challenge of the spirit.
The Hazell Bros Point to Pub covers 10kms from Wrest Point Casino, using the existing Point to Pinnacle course, climbs 460m and finishes at the Historic Fern Tree Tavern. Participants will be also be able to fundraise in exactly the same way if they enter the Point to Pub.
This year is the 25th edition of the Point to Pinnacle and will see 3000 people taking on the mountain with a further 1000 racing to the Pub, and hopefully, more record fundraising totals.
This is the 7th year P2P has worked with the Everyday Hero (EDH) web platform and event charity partner Movember to open up fundraising opportunities to all entrants. Fundraising is an optional but encouraged part of your P2P experience and is a great way to help someone else overcome their personal mountains while you train and take on yours.
Funds raised over the last 7 years through EDH for a variety of charities has now totalled $484,218 and through Movember (raising funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and mental Health) have also raised $677,248. The Mobart Mobros group have been a major driving force behind this outstanding total and we would like to thank and encourage them to continue their amazing work for this great cause.
It is easy to see what an amazing and positive difference we can all make to others if we help raise some much needed funds for a cause close to our hearts.
